Weekly Wrap-Up: May 14, 2016

Hello. This weekend finds me celebrating my fabulous father’s birthday, and enjoying a little cooler, yet still sun-shiny weather in the South!

This week I’m all about my Sirius XM station #30, The Loft. It’s like I’m sitting in the hippest coffee shop in town, sipping on lattes (yes, plural), visiting with friends old and new, wearing my comfy stretchy pants, and enjoying picturesque views out of the large front windows. Oh yeah, it’s that good!

Winters in Texas are generally pretty…brown. They’re wet, they’re muddy. They’re just kinda drab. But all of the rain-soaked weather we have had throughout the winter and spring this year has created a beautifully green landscape this time of year! The wildflowers that coat the highways across Texas each spring were bursting with color this year, the trees are full of bright green leaves, the flowers and gardens are popping! Everything is in hyper-growth mode and it is an absolutely blessing!

I just finished reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. So good! I posted a video review of that earlier in the week if you want to check it out HERE. ┬áNext up on my nightstand is Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy Seals Lead and Win, by Jack Willink and Leif Babin. I was drawn to read this book after hearing Tim Ferriss interview Jacko for the Tim Ferriss Show podcast (which I LOVE). I am really looking forward to diving into this book, and all the content that moves even deeper into taking “extreme ownership” than the podcast was able to dive.

Until next time, my friends…

I hope that YOU are making it a great day,
